File your 2019/20 FAFSA at www.FAFSA.gov using your 2017 taxes. (Use the convenient IRS Data Retrieval Tool to import your 2017 taxes into your 2019/20 FAFSA.)

2019/20 FAFSA has been available since October 1st, 2018, for financial aid applications for the 2019/20 award year.

Complete the 2019/20 financial aid application process by May 1, 2019, and you will be entered into a drawing for one of four $250 gift cards to the MCC Bookstore. Don’t delay!

  • There’s still time to apply for financial aid for SP19! Complete your 2018/19 FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov using your 2016 taxes.

Student Loan Workshop Dates:

  • Thursday, March 14, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., A119
  • Monday, April 1, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., A119
  • Monday, April 15, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., A119

February 5 - First loan disbursement (for Repeat Borrowers)
NOTE: Please allow up to two weeks for processing of the disbursement before the funds are sent to your BankMobile Vibe option.)

February 22 – 30-day loan (for New Borrowers); First loan disbursement (SP19 only loans)
NOTE: Please allow up to two weeks for processing of the disbursement before the funds are sent to your BankMobile Vibe option.)

March 11 – Priority Registration begins for SU19. Watch your email for your priority registration date.
NOTE: After you register for classes, please allow up to 48 hours for the Office of Financial Aid to evaluate your classes to make sure they’re part of the degree/certificate you’re pursuing. If they are financial aid eligible, your financial aid will post toward your tuition/fees. You can check your balance in your myMCC account 24-48 hours after registering .

March 15 – Pell Disbursement; Second loan disbursement (for SP19 only loans.)

Quick Tips:

  • Federal financial aid will only be applied to classes that count toward completion of your academic program. Your academic program must be current in our system in order for your financial aid to transmit.
    • Check your current academic program at www.mchenry.edu/myMCC > Self-Service > Student Planning.
    • All changes to an academic degree or certificate program, including the catalog year, may impact your financial aid. Please consult with an academic advisor to complete the Academic Program Change form if your degree is not current. (Note: You may not change your academic program if you are Maximum Time Frame). You can make changes to an academic degree or certificate program by notifying the Registration Office, A258, or by calling (815) 479-7632.
    • To ensure that all the classes for which you are registered count toward completion of your academic program, you can complete your Program Evaluation at www.mchenry.edu/myMCC > Self-Service > Student Planning. Select your program.
  • Check your current balance at www.mchenry.edu/myMCC > Self-Service > Student Finance > Account Activity.
