MCC to Offer Class on Total Solar Eclipse Viewing >

For the first time in almost 30 years, a total solar eclipse will be visible in the U.S. Learn how you can enjoy the partial or total eclipse with "A Solar Eclipse is Coming!" class offered by MCC's Continuing Education Department on Aug. 8 from 1-2:20 p.m. in the Luecht Conference Center.

MCC Fire Science Students Participate in Live Fire Exercises Through Perkins Grant Funds >

Firefighter candidates and instructors from McHenry County College were among 50 firefighters from 15 fire departments who recently participated in a one-day training session at the Illinois Fire Service Institute in Champaign. This training, for firefighters from McHenry, Lake and Kane Counties, was made possible by federal Perkins grant.

MCC Faculty Aim to Help Students Save Textbook Costs >

McHenry County College students could see an estimated $400,000 total savings in textbook costs per academic year as a result of expert knowledge, research, and creativity by MCC faculty, who established a program to improve the quality of course content while reducing textbook costs.
