Want the fastest and most convenient way to get your refund?

Look for the bright green envelope from BankMobile containing your personal code.

Still haven't received a bright green envelope from BankMobile?

Call the billing/Bursar's office at (815) 479-7549 or (815) 455-8722

BankMobile will mail your personal code to your primary address on file with MCC. Once you receive the code, activate your account at Refundselection.com and choose how to receive your refund money.

Please note: If you pay your tuition and fees with a credit card and you aren't on a payment plan, MCC will process the refunds. If you pay tuition and fees with check/cash, receive financial aid, or are on payment plan, BankMobile will process the refunds.

You can have your money:

  • Deposited to your bank
  • Mailed, as a paper check, to the address you designate
  • Open up a BankMobile Vibe Account and receive a debit Mastercard
  • I've got my personal code. Now what?
    1. Have the following items ready:
      • Your personal code
      • Your MCC ID number
        • If you do not know your MCC ID number, find it by logging on to myMCC and selecting My Profile from the My Tool Box list.
        • MCC will not give MCC ID numbers over the phone.
      • Date of birth
      • Email address
      • Banking information (account and routing number)
    2. Use one of these supported browsers to go to www.refundselection.com:
      • Internet Explorer (on Windows)
      • Firefox (on Windows)
      • Safari (on OS X) - Newest Release Only
    3. Select Let's Get Started!
    4. Authenticate by entering your personal code.
    5. Choose how you want to receive your refund (either deposited to your bank account or mailed).
    6. Create your profile.
    7. Set up your refund.
  • What happens to my refund if I don't activate my BankMobile account?

    The default option is a paper check if your BankMobile account is not activated and a refund preference not selected. After you receive notification from BankMobile that a refund is available, it may take up to 21 days for the check to be mailed out to the address on file. Typically it takes five to seven business days for the check to arrive.

  • How do I have my refund deposited to my bank account?
    1. Log on to www.refundselection.com.
    2. Authenticate by entering your personal code.
    3. Choose how you want to receive your refund (either deposited to your bank account or mailed).
    4. Create your profile.
    5. Set up your refund.
  • I see I have the option to create a Vibe Account. Is this required?

    Use your BankMobile account to select a refund preference

    • Deposited to your bank - money will be deposited in two to three business days
    • Mailed, as a paper check, to the address you designate - money in five to seven business days
    • Open up a BankMobile Vibe Account and you will receive a debit Mastercard. Money will be deposited to your account on the same business day that MCC releases the funds to BankMobile

    But, you do not need to open a Vibe to receive your refund.

  • How will I know when my refund has been issued?

    BankMobile will send you an email when they have processed your refund. Request to be notified by text message by setting "mobile alert" options in the "profile" section of your BankMobile Vibe account. Additionally, you'll be able to see details of your refund by logging in to your BankMobile Vibe account website or by calling BankMobile at (877) 327-9515.
