A play sparked by the April 1999 massacre at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, columbinus probes the psychological warfare of alienation, hostility and social pressure that goes on in high schools across America. Created by The United States Theatre Project, written by Stephen Karam and P.J. Paparelli and directed by Jay Geller, columbinus weaves together excerpts from discussions with parents, survivors and community leaders in Littleton as well as diaries and home video footage to bring to light the dark recesses of American adolescence.

Set design by Sue Lewis, video design by Tim Mosback and stage crew member Marissa Tims, all of Crystal Lake; lighting design by Rick Amundsen, costume design by Tish Lyon, and assistant stage manager Kacie Swanson, all of Woodstock. The cast includes Christopher Cunningham of Cary, Bridget Nugent of Crystal Lake, Jake Seeyle of Harvard, Sean Degroot of Johnsburg, Matt Torres of Lake in the Hills, Emily Piesens of Spring Grove, and Kendall Natrop and Maddi Pappalardo, both of Woodstock.
