3 POSITION AVAILABLE TO START  for training end of April (hours will vary depending upon your schedule).  Monday and Friday 9a-6p (hours are flexible), 15-20 hours per week.  Must be enrolled for summer and during school year 2019-2020. 

Job Description

The Student Support in the Welcome Center assist the Student Recruitment & Admissions office as well as the  Switchboard. Typical duties include; greeting prospective and current students in a friendly and professional way and connecting them with the appropriate MCC staff member or department. Answering the main college switchboard phones in a professional and friendly manner and directing callers to the appropriate staff member or department. Assisting students with the application process. Periodically assisting the Financial Aid department by greeting students and determining what assistance they need. Student Ambassadors will be asked to assist in all college-wide events and may be asked to assist in giving tours of campus. Job Requirements

Student must present a professional demeanor.  Prefer a student with some phone or guest service experience.  Student should have basic computer skills.  

Learning Objectives

The student will gain valuable public relations skills and enhance their customer service skills. The student will learn and utilize basic office software/management systems. The student will learn the admissions process at MCC and become familiar with basic financial aid steps. The student will gain knowledge of MCC processes, staff, departments, and programs.
