Board of Trustees Meeting Documents 2020-2021
MCC is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees who are elected for staggered six-year terms, and one non-voting student trustee who serves a one-year term. As the legislative body of the College District, the Board of Trustees is responsible for the development and adoption of District policies and for making related decisions.
April 28 Board of Trustees Special Meeting - Special Notice
Due to the COVID-19 health pandemic, a fully accessible in-person meeting is not practical or prudent at this time. In accordance with Public Act 101-640, and as permitted by Section 7(e) of the Open Meetings Act, 5 ILCS 120/7(e), this April 28 Special Board meeting will be held without the physical presence of a quorum of trustees at the campus meeting location. Dr. Gabbard will be physically present, along with other employees performing essential functions. One or more trustees may also be physically present. Given COVID-19 considerations, it is not feasible to allow members of the public to attend the meeting in person. Members of the public may provide public comment and access all open portions of the meeting via the live stream and accompanying information located below.
If any member of the public wishes to provide public comment for the meeting, please submit the comment in writing (via email) by 1 p.m. on the day of the meeting to the College Public Information Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by completing the Public Comment Form in advance of the meeting. All comments will be provided to trustees prior to the meeting and will be reflected in meeting minutes. Public comments that are appropriate, compliant with Board policy, and reasonable in length will be read aloud during the public comment section of the meeting.
