Unwind, explore, and stargaze at “Music, Meditation, and the Milky Way,” an event hosted by the Liebman Institute for Science Innovation (LISI) at McHenry County College (MCC) on Friday, October 3, from 6–9 p.m. at the Liebman Science Center, 8900 US Hwy. 14, Crystal Lake.
This unique event blends relaxation with cosmic discovery. Attendees will begin the evening with wine, cheese, music, and conversation, then step into MCC’s state-of-the-art planetarium for a guided meditation under the stars. Astronomer Paul Hamill will guide guests through the night sky, highlighting constellations, moon phases, and planets currently visible. The evening will conclude with dessert, hot drinks, telescope viewing, and more music under the open sky.
Tickets are $23.18 per person and include all activities and refreshments. Guests must be 21 or older. Space is limited, and registration is required.
