Petitions for MCC Trustee Election Available August 25

The McHenry County College Board of Trustees has two seats open for new board members in the April 6, 2027 Consolidated Election. According to the Illinois Public Community College Act, all candidates for the position must meet the following eligibility requirements. A candidate must be:
  • A U.S. Citizen
  • A resident of the community college district (MCC District #528) for at least one year preceding the election
  • At least 18 years of age

Blank candidacy petitions for McHenry County College trustee candidates will be available from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Office of the President at the College, Room A233, 8900 U. S. Highway 14, Crystal Lake, IL 60012. 

Candidacy petitions for McHenry County College Board of Trustees positions will be available beginning Tuesday, August 25. August 25 is also the first date candidates may begin obtaining petition signatures. 

Petition filing starts at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2026 and ends at 5 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2026, excluding Saturday and Sunday.
