Brent Jordan is an active educator and freelance musician in the Chicagoland area. In addition to serving as adjunct faculty in drum set and percussion at McHenry County College, he also serves as percussion coordinator at the Larkin High School Visual and Performing Arts Academy. Brent maintains a private studio in South Elgin and is a percussion and drum set instructor at Music Education Centers of America.

Brent received his Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Northwestern University in 2006, where he studied percussion and drum set. In 2009, he completed his Master's degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Brent is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at the University of Illinois.

Brent performs in a wide range of styles and ensembles as a percussionist and drum set player, including symphonic orchestras, concert bands, pit orchestras, big bands, jazz combos as well as pop and dance bands. He has recorded numerous times on several projects, including the University of Illinois Concert Jazz Ensemble's record Free Play, which was awarded Downbeat Magazine's 34th Annual Student Music Award for outstanding performance.
