Board of Directors
The Friends of MCC Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of community and business leaders who volunteer their time to raise funds in support of McHenry County College and its students and programs.
Marshall Wolf Automation
Tina Hueppe is the president and CEO of Marshall Wolf Automation, Inc., an industrial automation distributor founded by her father in 1984. Before joining Marshall Wolf, Hueppe attended Loyola University to study psychology and business administration. She has been instrumental in the growth, development, and expansion of the company.
Ms. Hueppe also serves on the board of directors for the Family Health Partnership Clinic and is an active member of Leadership Greater McHenry County (LGMC). She and her husband, Andy, their two boys, and beloved pit bull live in Barrington.
American Community Bank
Rob Getty is the Chief Financial Officer at American Community Bank & Trust. He has spent his 30-plus year career in various accounting and finance roles, primarily in the financial services industry. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS in accounting and received his MBA in finance from DePaul University. He has previously volunteered with the Challenger Learning Center in Woodstock.
Mr. Getty and his wife, Loralei, have lived in Crystal Lake for 18 years and have two adult children, Stephen (Gina) and Jennifer.
Scot Forge, Retired
Mike Klingenberg (Lake in the Hills) is the retired vice president-chief financial officer at Scot Forge Company. Mr. Klingenberg received both his BS in accounting and his MBA from Northern Illinois University. He joined Scot Forge in 1985 and retired from there after 27 years as VP-CFO. He continues to serve as a member of their Board of Directors. Mr. Klingenberg also supports Turning Point of McHenry County and the Home of the Sparrow, Inc.
He and his wife Linda have a blended family of six children.
Carlos Arévalo (Marengo) has practiced law for more than 20 years. He has been a partner at SmithAmundsen LLC since 2015 and focuses on the fields of labor and employment and municipal and local government law. He earned his BA in political science and psychology from Boston College, and completed his law degree at Northeastern University School of Law.
Mr. Arévalo served as president of the McHenry County Bar Association and the Stateline Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter. He sits on the Regional Community Board of the Mercy Health System and is a member of the Leadership Greater McHenry County, Class of 2013.
Think Big Go Local, Inc.
An MCC Distinguished Alumnus and adjunct faculty member, Bobbi Baehne (McHenry) is the president and co-owner of Think Big Go Local, Inc., a digital marketing firm located in McHenry County that specializes in Social Media Strategy and Website Design. She is a sought-after and respected public speaker, consultant, and trainer who is passionate about sharing her knowledge of social media and engaging online audiences.
Ms. Baehne sits on the McHenry Fiesta Days Committee, is a valued partner with the Volunteer Center of McHenry County, and is involved with the Rise Up Foundation.
Director of Operations, 365 Equipment & Supply
Cole Breese is the director of operations at 365 Equipment & Supply, the equipment and supply division of Pepper Construction Group. He has more than 13 years of commercial contracting project management and operational leadership experience. He played an instrumental role in the development of 365 Equipment & Supply which began in 2015.
He obtained his Bachelor of Business degree in Finance from Western Illinois University. He and his wife reside in Huntley with their three daughters.
Home State Bank
Alexa Malouf is the Assistant Vice President at Home State Bank. Over the past four years, she has worked as a credit analyst, then in commercial lending. As a first-generation student, Ms. Malouf earned her BA in finance from the University of Iowa in 2016.
Malouf serves as the Treasurer and Board Member with On Angel’s Wings, Inc. and participates in the BLINGS Group and on the Monday Night Football Fundraising Committee with the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband, Christian, live in Crystal Lake.
First Midwest Bank
An MCC Distinguished Alumnus, Steve Rankins is the Senior Vice President - Commercial Group Head at First Midwest Bank. He is also a commissioner for the City of McHenry Economic Development Commission and sits on the Northwestern Medicine Philanthropic Leadership Council. He has previously served on the Centegra Health System Foundation Board and participated in numerous committees with the McHenry County Economic Development Corporation.
Mr. Rankins earned his BS from Illinois State University in 1988 and his MBA from Webster University in 2004. He and his wife Jennifer live in McHenry with their two children, Andrew and Sarah.
Aptar Group, Retired
Rob Revak is the retired director of human resources at AptarGroup, where he worked for over 38 years. Mr. Revak helped MCC to design and implement a county-wide high school and college-level Plastics program. In seven years, the program trained 17 new technician-level people who were hired with business partners.
Mr. Revak has an Associate in Science degree from MCC, a bachelor’s in business from Western Illinois University, and an MBA. He and his wife, Laurie, have two sons and live in Crystal Lake, where they enjoy tennis and gardening. Mr. Revak also serves on the St. Paul’s Church Council in Crystal Lake, and volunteers at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
Dr. Magdalena Rivera
Illinois Migrant Council
Dr. Maggie Rivera (Crystal Lake) is the president and CEO at Illinois Migrant Council, a non-profit providing educational, employment, and support services to farmworkers. After graduating with an associate degree from MCC in 1998, Dr. Rivera went on to complete her bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in clinical psychology and MBA from National Louis University. In 2007, she obtained a MS in business management/organizational leadership from Webster University, then earned an international Ph.D. in higher education from Via Novus/Universidad Pedagogica Nacional de Zacatecas.
Dr. Rivera has also completed the Leadership Greater McHenry County program. She has been a member of the League of United Latin American Citizens for 25 years and has participated in many international forums. She is a sought-after keynote speaker on women’s issues across the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Peru.
Foglia Family Foundation
MCC alumnus Ann Schirk (Cary) is the foundation administrator at the Foglia Family Foundation, which provides financial support to those in need of education or medical help. She has spent more than 30 years working for Sage Products and the Foglia Family Foundation.
Ms. Schirk volunteers with Special Spaces, an organization that facilitates dream bedroom makeovers for children ages 2-19 with cancer, and also with the Young at Heart Senior Animal Shelter in Woodstock. Previously, she served on the Alexian Brothers (now Amita Health) Behavioral Health Committee.
Dr. Corey Tafoya
Director of Harvard CUSD 50
Dr. Corey Tafoya (Harvard) is the Superintendent for Harvard Community Unit School District 50. He completed his Doctor of Education from the University of Northern Iowa. He is an experienced educational leader with a demonstrated history of achievement as a principal and superintendent in the school districts. He completed the Leadership Greater McHenry County program in 2009.
He is currently serving as the vice president of the United Way of Greater McHenry County Board and also volunteers with the Woodstock Christmas Clearinghouse and the Harvard Community Education Foundation.
