Student Art - Beginning Photography

Beginning Photography is an introduction to the basic technical and visual elements of black and white photography, emphasizing the artistic use of the medium. Students will learn to use a 35mm camera (to be supplied by the student), lens(es), and will learn how to process black and white film and paper. Students will be introduced to toning, alternative printing techniques, and hand coloring techniques. Emphasis is placed on a quality product and the use of the medium as a personal expression.
