Sociology—Associate in Arts (AA) Degree

All of us are social animals who interact with others in the various groups we belong to – our families, schools, peers, sports teams, churches, workplace, etc. Our beliefs, thoughts and actions are a product of our place in society and the groups we are a part of. Often we are so familiar with the things we do that we may never question them. A sociological perspective helps us look at what is understand why we are the way we are.

Sociology classes at MCC not only teach students the basic sociological skills, but course materials, projects, and the instructors themselves offer students an opportunity to complete studies that change their perspectives forever on how the world works. You will be challenged to redefine your expectations of the world, how you see it, and how you interact with those who share it with you.
