Anthropology—Associate in Art (AA) Degree

Study what it means to be human—what makes people different and what makes us the same. Learn how culture affects the way people behave, examine past and present human cultures, and explore human evolution, modern human biological variation, and humanity’s closest living relatives—the primates.

In our anthropology program, you’ll learn to critically evaluate all aspects of an issue and form unbiased, culturally sensitive responses. Hands-on classes will teach the application of anthropological information and techniques to address some of the most pressing matters facing society today—homelessness, poverty, crime, family violence, environmental degradation, and more. You’ll graduate with an array of marketable skills and an appreciation for careful record-keeping, attention to detail, and analytical reading.

Those with anthropology degrees can be great additions to a diverse variety of careers in both profit and non-profit organizations, as well as numerous government entities. Many companies hire anthropologists to help them understand their customers as well as their own corporate cultures.
